THE CORNWALL ONE ACT PLAY FESTIVAL 2012

Due to lack of support, we regret we have had to cancel this year's Cornwall One Act Play Festival. Just one entry has been received, despite allowing for late entries. As per the rules, this play will automatically go through to the next round in the All England Theatre Festival.

Understandably, we are very disappointed, but appreciate that finance difficulties may well be the cause. However, we are hoping that circumstances will improve and that next year we can look forward to a good entry. So please look ahead and start planning your programme for 2013. Remember, you need only enter the first round; if you are successful, you do not have to continue, provided you make this clear at the time. However, if you win and go through to the next round, and are again successful, you will be deemed to agree to take part in subsequent rounds. Hopefully we can look forward to a good entry in 2013.

St Austell Players

Auditions for Lane Theatre's second summer play "Kindly Keep it Covered", will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday the 19th of February, any men out there intrested please contact the theatre on 01637 876945 leave your contact details and the Director Eileen Pollard will be in touch.

Open auditions will also be held on the same day but this time at 4 o'clock also at Lane theatre for our first summer play one part only a female, here is what the director wishes you to say:

 Open auditions for "Girls Night  Too" Sunday the 19th February at 4pm....The play is cast except foer the role of Carol....this is a play with music.....need someone who looks the acting age of 40....who sings, dancers and acts... this is a great opportunity to join the Girls... for the sequel to "Girls Night" that was performed at Lane Theatre in November 2008 and again in the Summer of 2009.

Again please ring the Box Office and leave your contact details and Susie Bundy will contact you as she will be directing this play.
